Yesterday I posted about an issue I was having with RH 6.1 when I was trying
to upgrade from 6.0, and  I finally figured out the problem!  As I said, I
had both the new boot disk plus the updates disk, but I was making the
mistake of having the CD in the CD-ROM drive when I would boot from the new
boot disk and typing "linux updates" at the boot: prompt; if I did this, the
system would hang at "running /sbin/loader".  The solution is to NOT have
the CD in the drive and just boot with the floppy.  Once I did this it did
NOT hang at "running /sbin/loader", and I was asked to insert the updates
floppy, and then after that, I was asked to insert the CD, which is when I
FINALLY inserted it and then the upgrade worked w/o issues!

So, there you have it - the solution was as simple as that!  Too bad RH does
NOT have any comments on this in their errata page...
