Redhat and possibly some others filter the mail. Everything originating
from a root login gets forwarded to $REDHAT{ml}/dev/null for further
processing.
I don't recall it being listed on the page where the MLs are portrayed.
Then again, I haven't looked at those pages in a long time and it may
actually be there now. If it still isn't it surely oughta be, 'cause that
one bites a lot of people in the posterior.
Not all lists do it. Redhat's are the only ones I've ever been subscribed
to that I knew it made a difference. But there could well be others.
