Folks,

I think I have uncovered a bug in the 6.1 install code. I had
several boxes (identical) with RH 6.0 and Win98, using System
COmmander to dual boot (lilo in root partion, not MBR).

The lilo line read:
  boot=/dev/hda1

Upon doing an upgrade from RH 6.0 to RH 6.1, the /etc/lilo
had been changed to put lilo in the MBR:
  boot=/dev/hda

I had to add "dos" to /etc/lilo.conf, reboot into Win98, and
then reinstall SC (an extra 5-10 minutes per box).

[I might have been able to restore the original MBR with SC
in it, and just fix lilo plus reinstall it. I did not
try that....]

Any comments?

Linux is new, it's come out of nowhere, it's free. Hard to beat that
price. And it's taking marketshare left and right.
