There's a very good solution to obtaining fonts you like. Bitstream sells
(for $50) an unlocked CD with 500 fonts. The fonts are rendered in both
TrueType and Adobe Type 1 Postscript formats. Install what you want. And, if
you work in a mixed linux/windows environment, you can have the same type
families and fonts available on both platforms.
Not everything good has to be available for no charge. Not even bicycles.
