This seems to be an archive of the kernel mailing list.  Just search for
es1371.

Additionally, http://www.lwn.net/daily has a copy of Alan Cox's 2.2.14pre8
report, stating that the PCI sound code by Thomas Sailer has been back
ported from kernel 2.3.x to fix this sound problem.

I hope RedHat releases an rpm for the 2.2.14 kernel shortly after it is
released!  I would like to enjoy sound.
