If I have been misinformed, please correct me, but I believe you should
not print and use the Zip drive at the same time. Even so, the LPD Zip
drive is slow enough, print at the same time and it will be even slower.
Yep, your configuration makes it tough. That is where IDE extender
cards come in handy, if they work. I'm still trying to find that out.
In my case, it is 2 hard drives, cdrom and IDE Zip. The speed of the
IDE Zip is really appreciated. Once I get the internal network up and
running, the Zip drive can be retired and the port used for another
hard drive.
If the original poster can use an internal Zip, I urge the use of one
of those instead. It is only a suggestion, your mileage may vary :-)
