I'm running RH 6.1 right off a CD install.
Ok I hopped over to the ERRATA rpm list and retrieved all of the RPM's. The fun
starts
when i try to -U the initscripts package. I get an error regarding the version of
setup
available. Well aw shucks, I try to upgrade setup and it complains about the version
of
initscripts I have.
I'm trying to install
initscripts-4.70-1
says it doesn't like
my setup <2.0.3
sbin/fuser <<< I don't even have a clue as to what that is.
so I try to install setup 2.0.7-1
well it gets worked up over initscripts < 4.26
I've tried various combinations of earlier initscripts but that doesn't seem to work.
what is the sequence I (should/need to) follow to get things up to date?
One thing is for sure this kind of stuff needs to be remedied otherwise the huddled
MSFT masses will never come around.
