I have searched the various sites and located documentation on configuring a video card that runs on a Vesa local bus into Xwindows. Being new to Linux, I am still stumped. I am using RH 5.2 on an i486 (Gateway 2000), ATI Mach32 VLB card. One document says I need to use the XF86_FBdev driver that can be downloaded at xfree86.org from the X332servonly.tqz archive. I can not locate the file at xfree86.org. This article goes on to say to go into 'menuconfig' which I havent figured out how to do yet.
