Correct, there is no such critter. And apparently, to judge from what
I've read in the press, Lotus does not plan to produce one. If I knew
where at Lotus to send a mail on the subject (so that it would go
to someone who makes such decisions) I for one would certainly send
them my vote.

However, all is not lost. It is possible to run the Win32 Notes client
(at least version 4.6a) on Wine (Windows Emulator, aka Wine Is Not an
Emulator). not everything works (it seems to die a horrible death when
I try to print, there's no value in trying to spawn a child program
to view an attachment, Using Notes to browse the web doesn't seem to
work for me, some dialogs don't look right) but enough stuff works
that I can view/read/create/reply to email.

Given that:
1. Wine has implemented maybe 80% of the Win32 API, and that
2. The Win32API is a moving target
I'm amazed that an application the size of Notes works at all, much
less as well as it does.

You may find it helpful to check out "The Lotus Notes for Linux
Resource Page" at http://www.brooklinesw.com/linux/linuxnotes.html.

Good luck!

Fred
