dial in with modem on Laptop

Hi, there,
  Does any one know how to use a modem on a laptop to connect to the
internet?  I am a newbie and I have HP2100, and a modem card
XIRCOM CREDITCARD MODEM 56, with Redhat 5.1 installed on my system.
