Hi,
I just installed xfree86 3.3.5 via rpms. I used xf86config to
configure. Everything seemed to go fine. But then, when I did startx,
I got the error:
/usr/X11R6/bin/Xwrapper: can't resolve symbol '__xstat'
_X11TranSocketUNIXConnect: Can't connect: errno: = 111
giving up.
xinit: Connection refused (errno 111): unable to connect to X server
xinit: No such process (errno 3): Server error.
X did not start up. So I went back to xfree86 3.3.3.3. I'm running
Red Hat 5.2 smp kernel 2.2.9. Why am I unable to run xfree86 3.3.5?
