I've recently installed Redhat 6.1 which came with Netscape 4.61. I'd
like to install the secure version and upgrade to 4.7 while I'm at it.
I have the tar file for this version which I downloaded from Netscape,
but this installing this would require me to remove Netscape from the
RPM framework which I'd rather not do if I can avoid it. I notice that
the Redhat FTP mirror sites have versions of 4.7 that are marked as US
only but they're in the "rhmask" format and the README states that you
have to have had the 4.61 US version already installed.
Two questions
1) Is the "US" version the same thing as the 128-bit encryption
version?
2) Must you have the 4.61 US version installed to upgrade to the 4.7 US
version? If so, how do I resolve the Catch-22 - where do I get an RPM
of a US version that can be installed without needing to have a previous
US version installed?
