Jasons Right On (A habit of his ) , but I would go one further and
say.........don't just comment anything out in any files like inetd.conf
(the services file need never be touched unless maybe you add a custom
port)
RPM -e the packages you dont need instead, that means if you don't use
portmapper, don't just disable its startup, annialate its existance from
the system by removing it!
