I run 6.0 on a dell inspiron 3500 w/ no problems. The modem that comes with the bx is a winmodem so I did not purchase it when I got the box and use a pcmcia combo card. Mine has the neomagic chipset and I don't remember having to do anythig special to get it going. In fact, as I recall We did the initial install some where on I 40 (Arizona I think) on the way to Comdex last november. I have a lot less trouble with it than I do win98 on this box. Susprise susprise. BTW the touch pad is seen as a ps2 mouse and works pretty well too.
