I doubt that the machine really needs a reboot, unless you have some program with
rampant memory leaks. Two of those types of programs that come to mind are Oracle
and Netscape.
Linux users get all upset whenever they have to rebooet. they'll try everything
before rebooting, so they won't feel like MCSEs scratching their heads at NT boxes.
Before you reboot (next time), try going to single user mode. 'telinit 1' should do
the trick. I doubt you'd have memory limitations for that.

Just do what I do at work. Not enough resources? Add swap like a big daddy. double
available swap. It'll crunch along slowly, but at least it'll get there.

Only the most excellent real-time strategy game available for Windows. Whenver
Slashdot asks which games should be ported to Linux, There's always a wide
contingency of the people yelling for StarCraft.
