I just noticed that in my /etc passwd pop and gdm have /bin/bash set
as their shells rather than /bin/false

is there any reason why they get to have (why they need) real shells
- should I change them to /bin/false or will that cause then to wig
out? what are these users there for anyway?

I also noticed that some have no shell setting at all - is this the
same as setting /bin/false or /dev/null?

TIA - dan.
