I started playing with some MP3 applications today, and something really
weird is going on. When I play an MP3, there's no sound and it plays it
/very/ slowly. For example, it takes about 45 seconds to process
through the first 6 seconds of the song.
I've compiled and installed xmms and alsaplayer and installed the
RealPlayer7 rpm, and all 3 players are exhibiting the same behavior. I
checked xmms and RealPlayer7 with a CD, and they played the CD
perfectly. My machine is a PII 300 with 80mb RAM. What could be
causing something like this?
