Not sure, Im running 6.2B on everything here now, (waiting for a clean time
to download 6.2 official) no slowdowns noticed. If you think its a kernel
issue (which I might add I had problems with the 2.2.15pre?? that was
supplied with RH6.2B) you should download and install (-ih not -Uvh) the
kernel from ftp://duke.eburg.com. Its an Awesome 2.2.14 kernel (it has all
the extras). Its in the directory mycontrib.
