in xcdroast:

-  select [Setup], go to hd-setup, and set the Image-Data-Path
   to the directory that contains your image.

   -   go back to main (i.e. click [Done])

-   Click [Master CD]

    - Click [Write Image]

       - type in the correct filename (xcdroast does not see files that
         end in anything other that ".raw", but once you type it in, it
         will recognize it. This step can be obviated by renaming the
         original file to {anything}.raw

       - click [Start Write Image]
