---------- Forwarded Message ---------- Subject: atdot & shadow passwords Date: Sun, 9 Apr 2000 22:52:31 -0700 From: cian <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Hi, and thanks for your reply. I set AtDot as per the instructions, double checking to make sure that all the file permissions were set correctly. I got it to run and could log on as one user but none of the other users worked. I got the wrong password please try again message. The account that was let through was an account I created that didn't use shadow passwords. I posted with the error message and specifics and was told that I needed to configure AtDot to use shadow passwords, I have looked through the documentation and the scripts themselves trying to find a place to "activate" shadowed passwords with no luck. Maybe I'm just not looking in the right place? Maybe I'm just missing it in the docs? I dunno.. I installed Neomail which has a specific setting in the config file for shadow passwords and it worked fine but doesn't offer some of the added functionality of AtDot (folder support etc). Did you have to "configure" AtDot to use shadow passwords, if so where? If you didn't.. perhaps I will try installing it again from scratch... Thanks tons for your time and assistance... cian -- -- To unsubscribe: mail [EMAIL PROTECTED] with "unsubscribe" as the Subject.
