Hi, I'm hoping someone can help me out here. I thought I had it figured out on 6.1 but I just installed 6.2 and it's all starting over again. Right after the install, I went in X and set up kppp but when I try to connect, I get something similar to: (sorry I don't have the exact message but I had to send this from a machine that could connect) ****************************** pppd2.3.11 started by root, uid0 " " " " " " " peer is not authorized to use remote address xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx. connection terminated. connect time 0.1 minutes exit ****************************** I found something in a newsgroup about maybe the default route is into the LAN and that pppd needs to have it set to my ISP. If I remember correctly, the only way I had it working with 6.1 was when I didn't set anything up with my NIC and during this recent install to 6.2, I specified all of that during setup. Could this be the problem? And if so, what would be the best way to go about fixing it? Any information would be greatly appreciated because this is becoming more than a full-time project.
