I have a lucent winmodem in my laptop which I have downloaded the RH 6.1 driver for
the 2.12 kernel. This was fine and seemed to work OK except that it would "hang" the
machine for a quick second when disconnecting.
However, I have upgraded to 2.14, because my Maestro soundcard is only supported by
that kernel. Now when I boot up I get a warning about the module but everything seems
to boot fine and the modem works properly which is on par with what I have read about
this driver.

Except lately it has actually been locking up my machine the odd time when it
disconnects. I have reinstalled the module and it hasn't locked up since however it
has only been a couple of days. Any other suggestions?

Also does anyone know if the lucent winmodem is supported by RH6.2? What about kernel
2.15? I have the driver from the lucent568.zip file that I got from linmodems.org...
does anyone else have something more recent?

Cheers
ERik.
