Hi,
I just created my first data cd using mkisofs and cdrecord. I noticed
something that I don't understand. When I view the cd -- a backup of my
home directory -- on my Linux box, all the data seems to be in its proper
place, though a new directory, /rr_moved/, is created -- that is empty.
When I view the cd on a Windows NT box, besides the truncated filenames,
the /rr_moved/ directory is filed with stuff from all across my home
directory, truncated filenames and all, and those files are not present in
the directories where they belong. What gives with this? What does it
mean? Any explanation appreciated.
