hi redhatters --
I was playing with lizardx from caldera on my redhat system and it
messed up some X things. Fixed one problem (it created an XF86config
in /etc which X found before the real one in /etc/X11).
X runs ok if I boot to runlevel 3 and use startx. Booting to run
level 5 I get the error:
_X11TransSocketUNIX Connect: Can't connect: errno=111
I have not been able to find out what xdm (really kdm) is trying
to connect to nor a list of error codes to interpret the 111.
The above message repeats about 10 times followed by a message
saying the system is dropping back to runlevel 3 which it does
and I can log in and to the startx thing successfully.
Any clues to what got changed?
Environment: RHL 6.2--stock system, KDE for desktop
Everything else seems to be functioning normally.
