Mmm, interesting. The APC UPS handles 420 watts and the Best Power unit
handles 470. The Best Power unit, without the cabling and unattended
shutdown software, handles the equipment just fine. How much of a power
hog are internal modems. I know nothing about this. Would it be reasonable
or unreasonable to expect a Pentium III 600 with 2 internal hard drives, a
CD-RW drive, a modem and a monitor to exceed 420 watts? I did not know
that internal modems are notorious power hogs.
