Hi every one,
Using Redhat 6.2 and Samba and having an static IP address.
We are in a small office and we used to have a Nt4 server and
samba didn't have any problem with it. I could see the Linux box
in Network Neighborhood.
Few days ago, they switched the server to Win2000 server, Samba
still works and I can see the Linux box in the windows machines
but there is a message that comes up in the Win2000 server complaining
about the election that Win2000 lost the election to the Linux box.
In the global section of /etc/smb.conf I changed the line
preferred master = Yes to No but it didn't change any thing
and that election message comes up every 2 hours.
I don't know if any of you had seen this problem before
and how to fix it.
Regards,
Genesis
