%-> This may be a stupid question, but the tarball from adobe
%-> already has the
%-> compiled files in it. What would I need to do to build an rpm
%-> that only puts
%-> the files in the correct location? Also, is it necessasary to
%-> run ldconfig
%-> after putting the files in the proper locations? (and if you
%-> know of things
%-> I can read to learn about this please point me there.)
You need to put together a spec file for the tarball -- www.rpm.org has a
small tutorial on it, but it's not all that clear, unfortunately. Try
downloading the src.rpm for the equivalent or similar package, and install
it with rpm -ivh. A spec file will be installed into /usr/src/redhat/SPECS
and you can use that as a template.
