1) I got a little bid confusing on classifying "compiling another module"
and "change to the main kernel". Of course for safety measure it will be
better to run the complete steps but it will take longer time. For example
"to activate ntfs file system", "to stop Network card functioning", "to
select a sound card module", etc. What shall be their classification.
2) In the former case (compiling another module)
After "make menuconfig" shall "make dep", "make modules", "make
modules_install" and
"run LILO" be sufficient.
