At some future time when redhat release kernel 2.4.x I will get a 20 or 30
GB harddisk.
I have a question.
Suppose I get a 20 GB drive. I split the disk into 3 partitions.
device mount drive space

/dev/hda /NT or /win2k 10 GB |
/dev/hda2 /DOS 5 GB |--20 Gb drive
/dev/hda3 / 5 GB |
/dev/hdb1 /usr 2.50? GB|
/dev/hdb2 /stuff 1.2? GB|---- 4.4 Gb drive
/dev/hdb3 /var 250 MB |
/dev/hdc1 /home 1 GB |-----2 Gb drive
/dev/hdc2 ? ? |
? ? ? |-----
? ? ? |
Currently I got a two disk system. One 4.2 and a 2 GB drive.
The above config is the way I will probably go. How I will
devide it up is up for grabs. I might put the 20 Gb after
4.4, but this depends on how large RH 7.x will be.
The question is given the above config for the 20 Gb drive
will lilo run if it is installed in the MBR ?
