Ok... I'm sure this is a FAQ, but I'm not sure where to
begin to look for it....
A few weeks ago (probably after an "unscheduled power
failure") my machine at work will not let me play any
sounds, because it can't load the opl3 module for my sound
card and thus, my sound card is not initialized.
I had the same problem here on my home machine, but a
reinstall solved that problem. I'd rather not reinstall on
the work machine.
Any ideas what went wrong and how to fix it, short of
reinstalling? I'm not even sure what sound card I've got at
work, but it WAS working after I first installed RH 6.2,
but now it can't load the opl3 module! :-(
