I have seen that ... But that does not change the results!
Anyway, I moved the data out of the way and ran mke2fs again.
This I knew would fix the problem.  But I wanted to know if there
was any other to change the superblock information of the device
since it was wrong.  I am still interested to know if it was
possible in case this happens again and that I am in a situation
where I can't move the data.
