It's for large file support/summit.
If you download the 2.2.16-3 src.rpm from standard 62 updates and look
at the spec file you see lfs and ext3 disabled. I think 62E is the same
with them enabled.

While the lfs patches are there, and you can enable them, the ext3 are
not there so you cannot enable them (I'm speaking of the standard
2.2.16-3).
