Title: NIS problems

I have a few computers networked together. I'm using
NIS and mounting the /home filesystem from the master
server on all the other systems. Running RH 6.2 with
yp-tools-2.4 and ypserv-1.3.9

This is the problem I'm having:

All systems connect properly. Even the master knows
who the master server is, as indicated in /etc/yp.conf,
and the fact that it now only uses yp for normal users.
When I do rpcinfo -u localhost yppasswdd on the
master it returns:

program 100009 version 1 ready and waiting

Same thing if I tell it to look at it's IP address,
or if I try it from another machine pointing to the
proper IP address.

If I try other services (ypserv and ypbind) it also
says that version 2 is running.

However when I try a yppasswd from any system
to change the user's password, it returns saying that
yppasswdd isn't running on the master.

Can't seem to figure out what I'm doing wrong... Been
trying different things and reading man pages and
howto's, without success. Any clues?

Thanks!

Manu
