the module-list is generated by RedHat and is not required for the system
to function. It's only used for things like kernelcfg and maybe Linuxconf.

If you have, say, kernel 2.2.15 installed by RPM.. then you have a
module-list-2.2.15 or whatever. If you have compiled a new kernel (and
this is where the kernel RPM idea really sucks) then the module list/info
file stays the same... if you have compiled a new kernel from tarball
(.tar.gz file) then don't worry about it... and you should do some RPM
maintenance anyway... it's easiest to have the entire kernel setup done by
tarball.. it's so much cleaner. :)
