Just enter the following command:

     rpm -Uvh --nodeps rpm-3.0.5-9.6x.i386.rpm

      -U = update the package
      -v = Verbose (Tells what RPM is doing)
      -h = Prints out 50 hashmarks as the package is loading
--nodeps = Tells RPM to ignore dependencies.
