I am trying to compile the libnasl package for use with nessus and nmap under RHL7. I get an error saying I need to register the nessus-libraries with the system and I can't seem to do it. I put in: LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/opt/security/nessus/lib under both the root .bash_profile and /etc/profile. I also put the path in /etc/ld.so.conf and ran ldconfig. Nothing seems to work.
