upgrade to rpm-3.0.5. If you still can't install RPMS, then that version
will let you upgrade itself to rpm-4.x

Whatevr happened to the ideas being bounced around about a list-FAQ? Is
anyone at Red Hat reading this list anymore. An FAQ might reduce the load
on this list, helping the list run smoother too.
