Not A problem, This is my setup, 6 ide hard disks and 2 cdroms.

/dev/hdf1       /Compile                ext2

/dev/hdd1       /home/ftp/pub           ext2     
/dev/hdg1       /Things                 ext2     
/dev/hde1       /home/ftp/pub2          ext2     
/dev/hdb        <-- cdrom
/dev/hdc        <-- cdrw
