I've got an SC-30, which is the SCSI version of the 30GB drive. I bought
it over a year ago thinking that Linux support would surely follow! (The
IDE drive wasn't available then). And apart from the fact that I have to
use it under windows (currently on Win2K, with BackupExec 8) it is
great. Very fast and reliable - much better than DAT (in my experience -
no flames please) especially when you look at the price. Fortunately,
there is a BackupExec agent for Linux that works a treat, so this is the
way I'll continue until native Linux support is available.
Which brings me to some kind of point - does anyone know of a driver for
the SC-30? The OnStream web site has been saying "coming soon" for the
last year or more!
Graham.
