I've recently installed RH7, and downloaded/installed the tftp-server rpm file. I have found, however, that the same problem occurs on a system running a fairly stock RH 6.1 installation. I have (I believe) the tftp file in /etc/xinetd.d set up correctly, with /tftpboot as the directory to use for incoming/outgoing files. I seem to be able to connect to the tftp server, but transfer requests just time out. This happens whether I connect from the localhost, or from some other system.
