gnome panel hosed

I screwed up the Gnome task panel at the bottom of my screen by letting
gimp fill up my home partition.  I have added some of the buttons and
menus back but the task panel is still not there.  Is there some way to
get gnome to recreate the default panel with all the aplets in it?
