Hi =) I setup a small network and did some testing to discover I'm
not achieving maximum network performance. The bottleneck appears
in ftp'ing files with the RedHat server. Any ideas on how to
improve performance?
To test the computers involved, I've tried different configurations and
approaches. I've included as much information as possible. I
tested using different network cables to eliminate this as the source of
the problem.

FTP Server #1: Servu-FTP for Windows (default install)

Testing Results

1) 1st and 2nd machine connected at 100Mb full-duplex to the switch
transferring files via ftp. Maximum transfer rates averaging
85Mbps. Perfect =)
2) 2nd and 3rd machine connected at 100Mb full-duplex to the switch
transferring files via ftp. Maximum transfer rates averaging
40Mbps. Imperfect :(
3) 2nd and 3rd machine connected at 100Mb full-duplex via
cross-over cable. Maxium transfer rates averaging 40Mbps.
