Nope, I don't have the kernel source.
I didn't even compile the kernel, I'm still
running the stock kernel for Red Hat 6.1.
I know there are options for "Unix98 ptys" in when
you compile the kernel, but I didn't do that. >:-/

Do you have the kernel source? that's where it is, I believe... somewhere
in the Documentation directory.
