Starting this morning, I'm getting dozens of entries like this in my maillog:

Nov 8 13:01:04 muaq165 sendmail[3941]: NAA03940: forward
/home/grover/.forward.muaq165: Group writable directory
Nov 8 13:01:04 muaq165 sendmail[3941]: NAA03940: forward /home/grover/.forward: Group
writable directory

I get these messages at irregular intervals of between about 1-15 mins.

Can anyone tell me what these messages mean?

I don't have a ".forward" or a ".forward.muaq165" in my home directory on this machine
(muaq165). I run fetchmail on this machine (to grab mail from a MS Exchange server)
and procmail, and sendmail.

I don't know if this helps, but here's the relevant section of my ipchains:

# smtp (25)
$IPCHAINS -A input -l -p tcp -s 206.212.27.122 -d $LOCALNET 25 -j ACCEPT
$IPCHAINS -A input -l -p tcp -s $REMOTENET -d $LOCALNET 25 -j DENY

206.212.27.122 is the main campus mail gateway (not the Exchange server I collect my
mail from), and it has been crashing/thrashing regularly for over a month. I'm going
to start DENYing connections from 206.212.27.122, to see if these messages go away,
but if anyone can tell me why I'm getting all this crud in my logs, and what it means,
I'd really appreciate it.
