You can use Linux's fdisk to delete the partitions it uses _while it's
running_. Reboot to DOS, run "fdisk /mbr" and Linux is no more.

Usually no. DOS's fdisk will see Linux's extended partition as an
extended partition, and it won't let you delete it as long as there are
partitions inside it. However, it won't display or delete the partitions
inside!:(
If you work on dual boot systems much, I strongly suggest keeping either
tomsrtbt disk or a GNU parted boot disk around. Maybe both. They're good
tools.
