Good idea, but my other machines are fully utilized otherwise. Guess I may have
to make another purchase if all else fails. I'm puzzled that X doesn't pick up
this monitor. There are a few IBM TFT displays listed under Xconfigurator, but
none will give me 1024x768 even though when X tests for the monitor it says that
is what is being configured. I've even removed all mode references in the XFree86
config file except those that pertain to 1024x768 & the display still boots up as
600x480. Needless to say, that results in huge pop-ups that are impossible to
work with efficiently. Where is X finding modes that will yield 600x480 when I
haven't even left any references to such in the config file? Any ideas? I'm
determined to make this thing work. Love the machine except for this one small
snag. Thanks for the help!
