Well there are at least 4 kinds of zip disk (yes, the 100 meg ones) so
there is no standard answer

give the command   dmesg     have a look at output of the device

then you need to add a dir that will be mounted

# mkdir <dir>

then try

mount /dev/<devicename-no> /dir -t vfat

(of course with a disk in the drive)
