Until today I'd never heard of Microsoft's SourceSafe product, but it looks as though we are going to have to interact with a source code repository at a client's remote site, and I expect that they're going to want us to do it via their already-standing infrastructure. Does anybody know how SourceSafe works? Are there open clients for it? I did find a commercial one, but at upwards of $150 a seat for a one-project investment that's a little bit ridiculous.
