Hi there!

I wish to configure a Red Hat Linux 6.2 mail server with LDAP support. It should be
able to act as an Internet mail server (already have domain registered and valid IP
from my ISP), but not all users will be allowed to send/receive e-mail from the
Internet. LDAP support is intended to support Outlook Express address book searches.

I've already configured local email servers (using Linuxconf) but never an Internet
server. I have no idea on how to restrict user to local e-mail. I've also configured
OpenLDAP and got queries working from Outlook and used nss_ldap to provide user
autentication and management from LDAP.

Is there somewhere easy-to-follow instructions on these tasks, particularly Sendmail +
LDAP integration, using standard Red Hat RPMS?

I also miss an userfriendly front-end to user administration from LDAP, like we have
to normal /etc/passwd and /etc/shadow management from Linuxconf and Webmin.

[]s, Fernando Lozano
