That did the trick. I checked the routing table before and after using the
dialer, and before and after using the debug tool. The dialer wasn't setting
the default route and debug was. There was an option in the dialer for "Make
this route the default route", and all was peachy after checking that
option. Thanks!

I tried the commas before the phone number, but that was too late in the
cycle of events I think; in other words the pause needs to come before the
modem sends the ATDT, rather than in between sending the ATDT and the phone
number. I haven't yet found the way to edit the commands being sent to the
modem; it must be in there somewhere I suspect.
